Strategic Plan 08'-12'

On January 28th, the LEC approved the current five year strategic plan. In February, the Gulf Stream Council Executive Board approved the plan. Listed below are elements of the plan for 2011.We need your help to fulfill this plan. Every member is asked to identify an area that they are willing to work on and letourChiefknow. To Serve and Support Scouting we will . . .

  • Improve the quality of the facilities and programs available in the council

  • Construct a major capital project for Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation

To develop Leaders of Character we will . . .

  • Encourage OA leaders to be involved in other forms of Scouting

  • Recruit/promote involvement in District and Council event positions

  • Recruit Den Chiefs

  • Promote National High-Adventure programs

To promote outdoor adventure we will . . .

  • Publish an updated “Where to Go Camping” guide (printed and on-line)

  • Develop plans for an Aal-Pa-Tah High Adventure Trip in Winter or Spring of 2012

  • Ocala National Forest (Florida Trail) and Oklawaha River

  • Everglades National Park

  • Ten Thousand Islands

  • Attend NOAC 2011 (target 75 contingent and staff)

  • Continue Promoting National High-Adventure programs and Leave no Trace” principles

To be an Active, Honored Brotherhood we will . . .

  • Enhance Lodge Ceremonies Team and Hitchiti Dancers

  • Expand opportunities by developing additional team members

  • Accommodate requests for Cub Packs, crossovers, Eagle Court of Honor Ceremonies

  • Full integration of the Hitchiti Dancers as an active and continuing presence in the Lodge

Talent Release - By participating in any Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge activity, the participant, and the participant's legal guardian when the participant is a minor, grants Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge and Gulf Stream Council - and their officers, employees, agents, licensees, representatives, or assigns - permission and consent, to copyright, use, publish, exhibit, display, broadcast, or otherwise disseminate via any medium: film, video, kinescope, audio, still pictures, slides, or any other type of recording, which includes the participant's name, voice, and/or image or likeness. The participant and/or legal guardian waives any and all rights to inspection or approval of the final product. The participant and/or legal guardian waives any all rights to remuneration for uses consistent with this waiver. The participant and/or legal guardian further releases Aal-Pa-Lodge and Gulf Stream Council - and their officers, employees, agents, licensees, representatives, or assigns - from any liability arising out of uses consistent with this waiver, including but not limited to claims of misrepresentation or false light. Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge and Gulf Stream Council warrants they shall conduct all uses in manners consistent with the policies of the Boy Scouts of America.
