Best All-Around Chapter Competition

The Best All Around Chapter Competition is awarded annually and is designed to judge each of the Chapters in our Lodge. Each Chapter presents a binder of information in regard to each criteria of the competition along with a presentation of the information. A PDF Version can be found here.

Area Responsibility Maximum Available Points
Brotherhood Conversion All eligible members are contacted each year and encouraged to seal their membership;  Achieve 30% or more Brotherhood conversion of eligible Ordeal dues-paid members 100 points
for 30% conversion
Camp Promotions Camp Promotions team contacts and visits all units to promote camping and summer camp sign-up. 50 points (1 point per 2% of eligible units)
Chapter Reporting Provide current articles
for each edition of
the Gator Tales.
80 points (20 points per article)
Counseling Have one arrowman from
your chapter serve as a Brotherhood counselor
at each lodge weekend.
50 points
Elangomat Have a minimum of two
youth and one Adult serve as Elangomats at each Ordeal.
50 points
LEC Meetings Chapter Chief and Adviser attend each scheduled LEC meeting and provide a
written report.
200 points (25 points per LEC meeting)
Membership All previous year dues-paid members contacted and encouraged to renew by 4/15.  Achieve positive
growth in dues paid
members by 12/31.

National Treks Encourage Chapter membership to attend National Treks (Wilderness Voyage, OA Trail Crew, OAOA) For the prior summer.
75 points (25 points for each)
FourCorps Have a minimum of two
youth attend NOAC from
your chapter.
50 points (25 points for each)
One Day of Service Plan and carry out a Chapter "One Day of Service" Project, or participate as a Chapter in the Lodge project.. 50 points(5 points per Scout, max of 50 points)
Presentation Present a quality written
and oral report of accomplishments.
200 points
Section Conference Encourage Chapter membership to attend

Section Seminars Encourage Chapter membership to attend
Section Seminars

Service Provide service as an OA chapter at the District level 50 points
Training Chapter Chief and Adviser attend the annual LLDC. 50 points
Troop/Team Representatives Maintain a current list of trained Troop Representatives for your chapter and actively utilize them for communicating
with Chapter members.
20 points (1 point per 5% of eligible units)
Unit Elections Contact all Boy Scout units
in the District to schedule visitations.
50 points (1 point per 2% of eligible units)
Weekend Events Encourage chapter attendance at Lodge weekends. 200 points (50 per weekend - 1 point per 2% of members)

Talent Release - By participating in any Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge activity, the participant, and the participant's legal guardian when the participant is a minor, grants Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge and Gulf Stream Council - and their officers, employees, agents, licensees, representatives, or assigns - permission and consent, to copyright, use, publish, exhibit, display, broadcast, or otherwise disseminate via any medium: film, video, kinescope, audio, still pictures, slides, or any other type of recording, which includes the participant's name, voice, and/or image or likeness. The participant and/or legal guardian waives any and all rights to inspection or approval of the final product. The participant and/or legal guardian waives any all rights to remuneration for uses consistent with this waiver. The participant and/or legal guardian further releases Aal-Pa-Lodge and Gulf Stream Council - and their officers, employees, agents, licensees, representatives, or assigns - from any liability arising out of uses consistent with this waiver, including but not limited to claims of misrepresentation or false light. Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge and Gulf Stream Council warrants they shall conduct all uses in manners consistent with the policies of the Boy Scouts of America.
